beambreak is an effort to reverse engineer as much of the Boosted Board as possible.

Take a look at the articles below, or try the Web Bluetooth-based V2+ Remote tester. Most of the documentation and all the projects live on GitHub, although documentation is being ported here.

If you build something cool with this info, open an GitHub Issue – I’ll link to it! Even if Boosted the company is dead, the community will keep it going for quite a while.

What’s been done so far

  • Some of the SR<->ESC CAN have been identified and documented
    • There’s a DBC file for use with most CAN tools
    • Additionally, there’s a python Proof of Concept SR Battery Emulator
    • Physical connector information and pinout is also available
  • The accessory port has been documented enough to clone the Front Beams
    • There’s an Arduino Sketch and a rough guide to use as the basis for making your own
    • Community members have started building their own, non-cobbled-together, Front Beams
  • You can test your V2+ Remote functionality right from your computer if you have a BLE adapter and Chrome
  • There is a list of Known Firmwares, but it’s incomplete. You can help if you have more info on any of them.
